Vimeo Gets Support For HDR Videos
Video streaming service Vimeo today announced that it finally supports HDR videos on its platform. HDR videos can now be uploaded to Vimeo and the service promises to retain “as much quality as possible” for all HDR uploads. With support for 10-bit video, Vimeo can now bring over one billion colors to the screen, enabling the video quality to be strikingly clear and cleaner than ever before.


YouTube HDR Now Capped At 1080p
The YouTube app for Android received the ability to play HDR content in September. The functionality is only available on a handful of devices that have an HDR-certified display. Devices that don’t can not take advantage of this functionality. Those who used it on supported devices often reported performance issues on higher resolution. Perhaps that’s why Google has now capped HDR in YouTube for Android to 1080p.

Galaxy Note 8 Supports HDR Streaming On Netflix
Netflix announced a few months back that it will support HDR content streaming on select Android handsets. The LG G6 was the first device to get support for HDR streaming.
