HTC has a habit of unbundling native apps or features from the software running on its devices and offering them up separately on the Google Play Store. The latest to receive this treatment is the HTC Sense 6 lock screen. It is now available for download from the Play Store but don’t think that it will work with just about any Android device out there. As it happens, there’s a […]
If you’re still rocking a HTC One (M7), which was released last year, despite its flagship hitting the market recently there’s good news for you particularly if you subscribe to Sprint. The carrier today rolled out a software update for its variant of the HTC One (M7). While the underlying build remains KitKat this update finally brings Sense 6.0 to the smartphone.
HTC is most probably banking on their spanking new HTC One smartphone that will debut this coming March 25th, and it goes without saying, too, that there will most probably be a whole new version of HTC’s custom Sense user interface that will feature on the upcoming flagship as well. It is a rather fortunate thing, then, that we will have no need to wait until later this month in […]
The Taiwanese manufacturer has confirmed that it will release HTC Sense 5.5 for HTC One. This announcement comes after HTC’s worst kept secret, the HTC One Max, was finally announced today. The phablet will come with Sense 5.5 installed out of the box, its younger and relatively smaller sibling will receive the update in the near future. A few screenshots of HTC Sense 5.5 were leaked last week, today we […]

Just last month, we reported the Droid DNA would be receiving Android 4.3 by the end of September. It looks like HTC President Jason Mackenzie may have jumped the gun a bit, at least in regards to the Droid DNA receiving Android 4.3 on Verizon Wireless as the carrier has just announced they’ll soon be rolling our Android 4.2 onto the device.
I remember when HTC first came up with their Sense user interface skin on top of the Android operating system, it worked pretty good, although after a while, Sense started to feel old, and it more or less bogged down the handset’s performance due to the processing power that was demanded. Well, the folks over at HTC do seem as though they will be introducing their latest version of Sense, […]
The HTC G2 is rumored to be an entry-level handset that lies on the other end of the spectrum compared to the HTC One/M7, and what you see here on the right is rumored to be a HTC G2 screenshot that depicts what is a possible image of HTC Sense 5.0 running on top of the stock Android operating system. Now, we have heard good as well as bad things […]
It seems that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the HTC Vivid has started to trickle out, but one of the less pleasant “surprises” with this update is the fact that HTC Sense 4.0 will not be packed into the Ice Cream Sandwich tub, but rather, HTC Sense 3.6 will keep you going instead. This update, however, will offer the Beats by Dr. Dre audio profiles, which means […]
[MWC 2012] HTC’s HTC Sense graphical user interface has certainly come a long way since its inception back in 2009, where it has seen action on Windows Mobile and Android platforms – with the latter leading the HTC Sense cause these days. The entire idea for HTC Sense was to have it function as a user interface by itself, in addition to being a user experience layer on top of […]
Most folks who have used different Android-powered smartphones might probably lean with HTC’s special touch in tweaking the stock Android user interface through HTC Sense, and it seems that this user interface enhancement will be getting an update in the form of HTC Sense 4.0, where this version has already undergone a preview. Apparently, some of the features of HTC Sense 4.0 will include a Smart Sync option that will analyze […]
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus might be the first smartphone from the Android family to sport Ice Cream Sandwich, but time will see other manufacturers receive this long awaited operating system update as well. It will still take months before HTC owners of select handsets are on the receiving end of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but it seems that the folks at XDA either own a time machine, or they […]
Last week, we were all treated to some screenshots of HTC’s latest overlay for Android – Sense 3.5.
