The Moto G4 Plus was launched last year where it came with Android 6.0 Marshmallow preinstalled. Now if you own the unlocked version of the Moto G4 Plus in the US, you will be pleased to learn that according to reports, Motorola is now pushing out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the handset.
So we know that Google’s latest build of Android, which is Android 7.0 Nougat, has been out for a while now. Unfortunately the update process is very different compared to iOS where Apple is in control of the entire process. In Android’s case, OEMs will need to update their phones themselves, and in some instances, carriers need to give their approval too.
A couple of months ago, Motorola announced the Moto G4 and G4 Plus, although back then while it did state that there were plans to bring the handset to the UK, there was no mention of the US, at least until a couple of weeks ago where it was revealed that both the Moto G4 and the G4 Plus would make its way stateside in July.
