Motorola announced a handful of new devices today. The new Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus have finally been unveiled but they’re not the only new smartphones that the company has come out with. It has also unveiled the Moto G4 Play today which is its new mid-range smartphone aimed at people who would rather not spend a huge amount on a smartphone.

At first glance the G Play appears to be quite similar to the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus that have been unveiled today, it may have a similar design but the specifications have been turned down the notch in the interest of affordability.

Moto G4 Play features a 5-inch 720p display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 8 megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera, a 2,800mAh battery as well as Android Marshmallow.

It may not have the same specifications as its more expensive siblings but it does share the same water-resistant capabilities that they have. It also comes with Marshmallow straight out of the box.

Moto G4 Play has currently been announced for the United States only, it’s unclear if and when it will arrive in other markets. Pricing and availability information for customers in the U.S. is yet to be confirmed.
