samsung logo 4It hasn’t been too long ago since Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, but according to the folks at SamMobile, they have received word from their sources that Samsung could be working on a Galaxy S6 variant and have provided them with possible model numbers. Along with the Galaxy S6 variant, model numbers for the next-gen Galaxy Note have surfaced as well.

It is unclear as to what the Galaxy S6 variant could be, but there have been rumors of a Galaxy S6 Active that would basically be the more rugged version of the Galaxy S6. This particular variant has also been given the codename “Project Zen” and the model numbers include the SM-G928A NA ATT; SM-G928S KOR SKC; SM-G928F EUR XX; and SM-G928V NA VZW.

It’s actually interesting that the AT&T model is listed as previously it was suggested that the phone could arrive on their network, although the earlier leak revealed a different model number, so perhaps we’re not looking at the same handset. It also lists Verizon as a potential carrier partner so either this is a different handset, or Verizon could get the Galaxy S6 Active as well.

As for the next-gen Galaxy Note, it has the codename “Project Noble” and the model numbers include the SM-N920F EUR XX; SM-N920S KOR SKC; SM-N920K KOR KTC; SM-N920A NA ATT; and SM-N920V NA VZW. At this point in time rumors of the Galaxy Note 5 are a bit scarce. Last we heard there was a possibility of the Note 5 packing a 4K display, but that’s pretty much all we know for now.

Take it with a grain of salt but we’ll be keeping an eye out for these model numbers should they surface at a later date.
