At first glance, the Pronto NX PowerLite from Philips looks like a media player, but upon closer inspection you would notice that it is actually a remote control. The VGA display enables you to organize entertainment into different activities on a dynamic Web page, giving you complete audio and video control. The Pronto NX PowerLite even comes with an integrated Escient Fireball music server and Lutron RadioRa lighting control complete with on-screen feedback. It operates on IR but can be connected via WiFi as well. I don’t know about you, but dropping $1,836 for a remote control sounds plain crazy to me!
