Sanyo has scored another first with the Xacti E1, as this camcorder holds the distinction of being the first waterproof camcorder in the world. Unfortunately for avid divers, the Xacti E1 cannot be taken deep into the abyss as it has a maximum depth level of a mere 5 feet, and that also for just 30 minutes. The Xacti E1 also does not support High Definition recording, writing H.264 MPEG 4 video onto an SD or SDHC memory card directly. In addition to video recording, this nifty camcorder can also capture stills in 6 megapixel glory. Look out for the Xacti E1 waterproof camcorder as it ships this June.
