The Coleman FlashCell Cordless Screwdriver (try saying that 10 times fast) takes a mere 90 seconds or so to charge before you use it, due to the fact that it isn’t charging any internal batteries but a large capacitor instead. It has been touted to last slightly less than 2/3 as long as a regular rechargeable screwdriver on a charge, but the upside to this is the ability to plug it in on-the-fly, wait for less than a couple of minutes before you get back to work. Unfortunately, forking out $99.99 for something that is rarely used around the home just doesn’t make that much sense – might as well rely on your kids to grow up and pick up a little DIY skills along the way.
