Yamato Battleship In Lego Form

There is just something about building stuff from Lego bricks, and often the extravagant projects are the ones which are most impressive. Case in point the Yamato Battleship you see here which has been built to scale by Jumpei Mitsui, taking six long years to cmoplete. It measures a whoping 6.6 meters from bow to stern, and is 1 meter wide at the widest point mid-ship. Built-to a scale of 1:40, over 200,000 Lego bricks were used and the entire project weighs a whopping 150 kilograms – the big question is this, will it float?
