The netbook is one versatile piece of computing, but a major drawback of its relatively tiny size is the lack of storage options available, which is why NU has come up with their Universal Docking Station for netbooks that comes with an integrated Super-Multi DVD writer alongside a removable enclosure that can hold another 2.5″ hard drive, in addition to a two-port USB hub and a built-in fan. There isn’t any mention of price or availability, but the FCC doesn’t look as though they have any reason not to approve it, which means we could get hold of it in domestic markets pretty soon.
