PowerQ has just released its PowerHD-100 antenna that measures a diminutive 6.5″ wide, but packs a punch unequal to its size. It is touted to ease the transition to digital TV without having to mess around with cable or satellite, grabbing OTA HDTV and SDTV digital signals from as far as 60 miles away. We would put that as an extremely optimistic figure, as those living in concrete jungles might suffer a drop in range due to the many buildings and obstacles that are in the way. It is powered by USB or battery power, making it the perfect traveling companion for notebooks that are equipped with digital TV tuners or attached to an add-on USB ATSC tuner stick. Amazon is carrying the PowerHD-100 antenna for $49.99.
