We wear clothes primarily to hide our nakedness, offer protection against the elements while enhancing our physical looks, but the kids at MIT have gone one step further by developing a special conceptual interactive clothing known as SOS – Stress OutSourced. This peer-to-peer network connected clothing allows anonymous users or friends in social communities like Facebook or Twitter to send each other therapeutic massages to relieve stress, as it translates a virtual hug into a physical one from a distance. This is definitely something we’d like to see happen in real life, so hurry up and make a prototype already!
