Don’t want to follow the crowd and get an iPod just like everybody else? If you’re looking for alternatives, Sony’s NWZ-E450 Walkman is an interesting device that’s available in five colors, and supports .lrc files, which means that you’ll be able to use it as a karaoke machine too. The Walkman is capable of dimming the singer’s voice, which hopefully won’t cause you to sing out loud on the train. Other features of this media player includes a 2.2-inch QVGA display, customizable desktop wallpaper, music and video playback. On a full charge, you’ll be able to eke up to 50 hours of music from this device. The NWZ-E450 will be available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities, and will be available in August, with prices yet to be announced.
