Imagine being able to eat any cookie you want thanks to science. The folks over at the University of Tokyo created a setup dubbed Meta Cookie that allows users be tricked into imagine they’re enjoying different cookies. The system uses a device that is worn over the user’s head and can use augmented reality (AR) and an air pump that is used to create the necessary smells in order to trick the user into believing that it was the real thing. The system uses a plain cookie that with logo indicating carious flavors which will cause the air pump to spray out the smell of the chosen cookie, which combined with AR should do a pretty good job of tricking the user into the feeling of eating a certain kind of cookie.
