Pandigital ships second Pandigital Novel eReader device, has integrated Barnes & Noble eBookstore

Pandigital has just rolled out its second Pandigital Novel eReader device that will come with built-in Barnes & Noble eBookstore access, letting you get started right out of the box. This new reader will also come with a 7-inch full color touchscreen LCD display, where it will be known by the model number PRD07T20WBL1. The Novel eReader will be equipped with a high-gloss black bezel (fingerprint magnet warning here), tipping the scales at just 11.8 oz, while carrying 2GB of internal memory (double that of its predecessor) that can be further expanded thanks to an SD/SDHC memory card. With the integration of Barnes & Noble’s eBookstore, the new Pandigital Novel will enable customers access more than one million eBooks, newspapers and magazines for their reading pleasure. It will retail for $199.99 with a one year limited warranty – no price cut here, but you should be able to pick one up from select national retailers next month onwards. Will this have Amazon quaking in their boots? Hardly, but it does offer another option to those who are looking for eBook readers. What you see above is still the older model which is white in color. [Press Release]
