SanDisk iSSD is the smallest 64GB SSD in the world

SanDisk has achieved yet another first, with its integrated SSD (iSSD) which is touted to be the smallest 64GB variant in the world. Meant to be soldered straight onto a motherboard, this unique drive is no larger than your regular postage stamp, taking up just a paperclip’s worth of weight in the large scheme of things while packing in memory that ranges from 4GB all the way to 64GB. It is able to achieve a read speed of 160MB/s, while writing data has been clocked in at 100MB/s. With early units are ready to rock and roll, we do look forward into the future when we can see newer devices incorporate the iSSD idea. [Press Release]
