dB Logic intends to bring a new level of quality to headphones by incorporating its SPL2 technology into its releases, merging superior sound, style and comfort in a single device. These will be the first no-battery-required, ultra-low distortion sound pressure level limiting headphones and earphones that will target both teen and adult markets. After all, anything that helps protect users from long-term hearing damage is always a welcome addition in our books. With dB Logic’s proprietary sound pressure level (SPL) limiting technology, SPL2, it will work by limiting volume levels thanks to advanced circuitry, doing away with the need for bulky battery-powered processors. Expect dB Logic headphones and earphones to hit the market from early November onwards, ranging from $29.99 to $39.99, depending on the model of choice. Any takers?
