Apple patents integrated touchscreen display, touchscreen MacBook on the way?

The folks over at Apple have been granted a patent for an integrated touchscreen display that is related to displays including display pixel stackups and touch-sensing circuitry integrated into the display pixel stackup of a display. The patent illustrates a number of end-user examples that the touchscreen patent relates to, such as a mobile phone, media player and also a notebook, which could hint of a future touchscreen MacBook. While it’s far from a confirmation that we’ll be seen a touchscreen MacBook anytime soon, at least it doesn’t hurt the chances of such a device appearing, right?
