Friendly iPad Facebook App Is Now Free. Who Needs An Official App?
iPad users out there will probably be painfully aware that there isn’t an official Facebook app for the iPad. Friendly is currently one of the most popular unofficial Facebook apps for the iPad out there, chalking up over 500,000 users and that’s quite a feat considering that the app isn’t free. The good news is that the company has had a change of strategy and they’re currently offering a version of Friendly for free. The free version will be ad-supported, and you’ll be able to get an ad-free version by shelling out $0.99 for the app. Does such a move suggest that Facebook is thinking of coming up with an official app of its own or is it a smart marketing move by Oecoway, the company behind Friendly?
