Facebook permission request

Sure seems like Mark Zuckerberg is really taking his idea of putting everything on the internet a little too far. The world’s most popular social network has silently introduced new permissions that can allow third-party apps access to even more private information from user accounts. Apps (if authorized) can now access your address and mobile phone number. This doesn’t bode as good news to those of you with privacy concerns (then again, what are you doing on Facebook?) but it has been clearly stated in the official Facebook Developer Blog that you’ll need to grant these apps permission, and even with permission, the developers are bound to Facebook’s Platform Policies which prohibit the data from being sold or transferred to ad networks, data brokers etc. However don’t take this as a guarantee for the future as Facebook is known to constantly update their privacy policies all the time. If you don’t want your info being shared online, it’s very simple – just don’t put it up in the first place.
