Samsung Nexus 4G arriving on May 8

Sprint Samsung Nexus 4GAfter what seemed like forever, the Samsung Nexus S 4G is finally making its way to Sprint’s retail outlets. The 4G stock Google phone will finally go on sale May 8. Those of you who’ve already preordered the phone should expect a tasty little package to arrive on your doorstep in about 2 week’s time.

When the Nexus S went on sale in December last year, one of the issues we mentioned in our review about the Nexus S was the lack of 4G connectivity. Hopefully this 4G/CDMA version on Sprint’s will give the phone the 4G speeds it deserves.

The Nexus S 4G is pretty much the same phone as the 3G version that was released last year, but it packs a different radio to connect to Sprint’s CDMA/4G WiMAX network. Other than that, the specs remain the same: 4″ Super AMOLED display, 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, 512 MB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and of course, stock Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The Nexus S 4G will go on sale for $199.99 with a 2-year contract from Sprint.
