Are you looking for a pair of sleek and minimalist looking speakers for your computer/laptop? If you are, Olasonic’s latest offering may be just what you are looking for. For those who are unfamiliar with the Olasonic brand, it is actually a company that was dreamed up by former Sony Home Audio Company President Yoshinori Yamamoto, and their product, the TW-S7 USB Powered Speaker System, apparently ranked pretty high up on Amazon Japan. It was actually made available in Japan last April, but it looks like it has finally made its way to the US. With an impressive resume like that, let’s hope that it will not disappoint.

As the name implies, the TW-S7 connects to your computer via USB and it comes in two colors, black or white. According to the company’s spec sheet, the TW-S7 is supposed to provide a frequency response of 60Hz – 20,000Hz and delivers 10W+10W stereo sound. It’s also supposed to be energy efficient, consuming only 2.5W of USB power.

The shape of the speakers reminds us of those egg-shaped chairs, but apparently there was a good reason behind this design, as it is supposed to maximize strength and efficiency while reducing unwanted noise and distortion. Guess we will have to take their word for it.

The speakers will go on sale 1st August and will set you back $129.99. For more information you can head on down to their website.
