BlackBerry 7 OS to deliver updated virtual keyboard

Virtual keyboards do take some getting used to, especially for those who were weaned on a physical keyboard on their smartphone. This is very true for old school BlackBerry owners who might find the learning curve of a virtual keyboard to be potentially steep, and not all virtual keyboards are the same – especially when you take into consideration the iPhone and Android-powered devices these days. Well, BlackBerry 7 OS intends to change things for the BlackBerry scene by equipping the Torch 2 9810 with a virtual keyboard that does resemble that of the PlayBook’s.

For those who are used to the current on-screen keyboard, will you be able to get used to a revamped model, or will it turn you off completely? Perhaps time will tell, and it would be prudent to head down to a nearby store and check it out when available before making a purchase decision.
