Dual-core processors seem to be the next big thing where smartphones are concerned these days, and Sony Ericsson’s latest effort, the MT11i, takes the opposite route with just a single core running on the Google Android operating system. Missing out on a physical keyboard as with most modern smartphones, you have a touchscreen to play around with to get all your input done.

The phone’s codename was retrieved from the UAProf (user agent profile) that remained well hidden in the bowels of Sony Ericsson’s website, letting loose vital statistics such as a screen resolution of 854×480 pixels – this might sound rather familiar to you, as it has become a standard for just about the whole Xperia smartphone range – save for the Xperia Mini family, of course.

Just where do you think Sony Ericsson’s latest upcoming release will reside comfortably in? Chances are it might be the go-between model of the Xperia Neo and Xperia Ray, but it all remains as a piece of colorful imagination until something official comes out.
