Chevrolet EN-V enters next generation phase

It seems that the EN-V has undergone a growth spurt of sorts in the hands of Chevrolet, as the next generation version of the electric concept vehicle is now in motion in order to fulfill General Motors’ vision of a zero-emissions future. General Motors has cast their eye on the EN-V to be part of the electric urban mobility vehicle future, where it intends to ferry two people max (and perhaps squeeze in a chihuahua or a child if safety permits?) to an urban destination without hassle, and considering the relatively small size of the EN-V, parking is going to be a whole lot more convenient not to mention easier, especially for those who loathe parallel parking.

According to Chris Perry, vice-president of global Chevrolet marketing and strategy, “By 2030, more than 60 percent of the world’s eight billion people will live in urban areas. The Chevrolet EN-V represents a possible solution for global customers living in markets where alternative transportation solutions are needed.”

EN-V is the acronym of Electric Networked-Vehicle, where this battery-powered vehicle will boast features such as climate control, personal storage space and all-weather operation, although the 25-mile range would need some working on. [Press Release]
