We know that Minecraft has already gone gold, and here is more news about this hugely popular casual game in all of its pixelized glory – Minecraft Pocket Edition for iOS is set to debut on iTunes today, where it will more or less look similar to the title that was released on the Sony Xperia Play and the Android Market earlier this year. The iOS version will be a universal one in the iOS universe, which means for $9.99 a pop, you can enjoy it on either the iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, depending on which device from Cupertino that you use primarily for your gaming needs.

It will be different from the PC version of Minecraft, as it will comprise of multiple game modes, alternate dimensions, craftable items, non-player characters, and a fairly robust internet multiplayer feature. Do expect updates to the game to be introduced from time to time as with the desktop version.
