First of, the X6 has undergone a redesigned front end with its standard fog lights seeing a matt finish. The front grill also features newly designed bars in order to make it stand out more, and BMW will now offer drivers the choice of adaptive LED headlamps as opposed to the standard bi-xenon lights instead, and will now come in new paint finishes and new leather trim options.
Aesthetics aside, under the hood of the refreshed X6 will see a V8 xDrive50i that reportedly delivers 300kW/407 bhp, and the xDrive35i in-line 6-cylinder petrol engine that reportedly measures in at 225kW/306 bhp. However for those who might want to opt for the 6-cylinder diesel engine option, BMW is offering the xDrive40d that promises 225kW/306 bhp, and the xDrive30d with 180kW/245 bhp.
If all of that is not powerful enough for you, BMW is offering a M Sport Edition version of the X6 in Germany. This package includes 20” M light alloy wheels, electronically adjustable sports seats with memory function, stainless steel pedals, M driver footrest and adaptive LED headlamps, and will see an additional 11kW and 30lb-ft of torque with the X6 xDrive35i option, or 30kW and 30lb-ft of torque with the X6 xDrive50i option. The BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupé is expected to be launched in mid-2012 but pricing remains unknown for now.
