Fujitsu shows off prototype Tegra 3 quad-core phone

Fujitsu Protoype Tegra 3 phone [CES 2012] At CES 2012, Fujitsu showed off a brand new prototype phone that was kept protected behind a Perspex barrier – the only thing exposed was the side of the phone where an HDMI cable joined it with a TV. Known specs of the phone: NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core SoC, a 4.6″ HD display (720p or 1080p wasn’t mentioned) LTE connectivity, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 13.1-megapixel rear camera.

At the Fujitsu exhibition booth, the phone was connected to a HDTV and running the game Riptide GP. People were invited to play the game via a Logitech wireless controller (winner of the day gets to win a tablet) which, according to reports, was very smooth and responsive, and looked good even though it was stretched on the TV.

No word on whether Fujitsu plans to turn this prototype into a production device, but it would definitely be one impressive phone to unveil at this year’s MWC.
