As pictured above, the Galileo is a robotic arm that will hold on to your iPhone/iPod touch, and what makes it really cool is that the arm can be panned and tilted 360 degrees which is remotely controlled via another iOS device simply by swiping the screen towards the direction that they want to. Apart from just using it for video calls, Motrr has also suggested a variety of other functions for the Galileo, i.e. a home security system that you can manually pan around the room, and it can even be used for both videography and photography.
The Galileo will also act as a charging dock for your iOS device, and to top it all off, the company plans to release an SDK for the device to aid developers in developing apps that will take advantage of the robotic arm. The Galileo is a Kickstarter project at the moment, so for more information or to pledge your donation, head on down to the Galileo’s Kickstarter page for the details.
