Dell has just announced new high performance XPS and Vostro computing solutions for families, multimedia professionals and businesses, where they will all sport the 3rd generation Intel quad-core processors as well as powerful discrete graphics chipsets to help you get the job done. Looking at the XPS 8500 and Vostro 470 desktops first, the former is said to deliver a superb user experience for creative types who want nothing but the very best, whether it is for composing music or to work on graphics-intensive design. Of course, one can always take some time off and enjoy gaming sessions with the XPS 8500 if desired. Other hardware configurations point to powerful performance graphics options from NVIDIA and AMD, USB 3.0 connectivity, mSATA solid-state drive options, as well as the ability to max out at 3TB of storage space and 16GB RAM.

As for the business-centric Vostro 470 desktop, this mini-tower computing machine targets businesses who want performance without breaking the bank. It is more than capable of handling basic computing tasks such as financial modeling, data mining, video editing, web development and graphic design, and will also feature 3rd generation Intel Core i5 and i7 quad-core processors with Intel Smart Response Technology, USB 3.0 connectivity, up to 2TB of storage space and 12GB RAM.

Expect to fork out $749 upwards for the XPS 8500 and the Vostro 470 will begin from $549 onwards if you are interested in upgrading your office’s computing facilities. [Press Release]
