Everyone loves a note-taking application and now the popular one Evernote for Android devices has received an update that brings an all-new Ice Cream Sandwich-based UI and a few new features to the tablet. The latest update brings the version of the application up to 4.0 just Ice Cream Sandwich by the way. The sleek looking new UI has been completely redesigned and it now takes advantage of new swipe gestures which allegedly brings more intuitive controls to make accessing your notes that much easier. Besides that the updated application also has toolbars at the bottom called “action bars” which adhere to the context in which the application is at, at that particular time.

In addition to its many quick shortcuts and uses, it provides extra screen real-estate while users peruse a note by disappearing. Furthermore, Evernote has also implemented another new feature called ‘Places’ which provides a new area to view notes that are displayed according to where they were originally created. If you choose to look at them on a map, the application apparently allows that as well. By chance, if you have been looking for a note-taking application for your Android device, this might be it. Even if you have been an avid user of Evernote for awhile but haven’t updated it yet, you can click here to go to the Google Play Store and get it now.
