While T-Mobile could be getting a QWERTY Android smartphone of their own in the form of the SGH-T699, it seems that Cricket Wireless customers can expect something similar as well. The folks at Phone Arena have managed to get their hands on photos of what appears to be the Huawei M660, a candybar shaped Android device with a QWERTY keyboard layout. Originally designated for MetroPCS, it seems that the handset is now headed for Cricket Wireless although a launch date and pricing has yet to be determined. As far as some of its hardware specs are concerned, the M660 will feature a 3.2” display, a microSD card slot, a QWERTY keyboard and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Granted it does not sound like a very powerful device so it we guess it is safe to assume that it will not cost an arm and a leg upon its release. We expect more details of the device to be revealed as it inches closer to its release, so check back with us then for updates!
