Finnish retailer Verkkokauppa.com might have missed the memo concerning the secrecy that was supposed to shroud the ZTE Blade III, considering how they have already shown off promotional images of this particular smartphone, not to mention the entire slew of hardware specifications for all and sundry to look at. The leaked ZTE Blade III images show off a curved, white design that is not too far off from the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, where it is powered by the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, riding at the back of the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor complete with 512MB RAM. At the front lies a 3.5″ WVGA TFT display which is similar in size to the iPhone 4S, although I do not think that this has the pixel density of Apple’s smartphone.

Right at the back you will find a rather ordinary 5-megapixel shooter, making this more of a mid-range smartphone than anything else. Ah well, at least it runs on Ice Cream Sandwich, so you just need to wait for the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, if it is coming the ZTE Blade III’s way. The asking price? €199 a pop. Do expect it to debut at IFA in Berlin next week.
