Flipboard now ready to support the iPad mini’s 7.9-inch display

We love news aggregation apps, and Flipboard is definitely at the top of our list. Just days after adding audio integration to its Android app, the team behind the awesome app is announcing that Flipboard is now ready and waiting for the launching of the iPad mini. Obviously this means that the team has already prepared its app to work on the iPad mini’s new form factor. We’ll see that on Friday.

The layout and typography of Flipboard has been re-factored to make it easy and still enjoyable on the smaller 7.9-inch screen. “Then, when you open Flipboard from the 7.9″ device, the font size will automatically increase to accommodate the new screen. If you decide that you don’t want this slightly bigger font size on your mini, go to Settings > Text Size to adjust,” writes the Flipboard team.
