Misfit Wearables has just announced the Misfit Shine, what is touted to be a wireless physical activity tracker. Boasting a bold design, the Misfit Shine comes in the form of an elegant all-metal disc alongside a beautiful halo of lights. All you need to do is place it on an iPhone and it will synchronize itself, even when it is in airplane mode. There are no buttons, cables, Bluetooth pairing, and recharging to bog yourself down with. Not only that, the Misfit Shine is no glorified pedometer, as it will also be able to track cycling and swimming activities to give you physical exercise credit where credit is due. Tap on it to check out your daily activity goal, and how well you have fared to date.

Measuring a wee bit larger than a quarter, the Misfit Shine is so flexible it can be worn just about anywhere. It does not matter if you want to mount it on your wrist, shoe, ankle, bra, hip, as a broach – anything works. Since it is made out of a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum, it ought to last the distance, and being waterproof is another plus point we cannot stress enough. The Misfit Shine will arrive in spring of 2013 for $99 a pop, with early adopters’ units shipping in March. [Press Release]
