I guess it is safe to venture that 5” is the new 4.5” when it comes to displays on your smartphone, and of course, if you were to duke it out with the best of them, all upcoming flagship smartphones regardless of manufacturer should not only be 5” in size, but also sport Full HD resolution with a decidedly high pixel density count, of course. ZTE is the latest hardware company to join the club, where the ZTE Grand S Android-powered device is said to be unveiled at CES 2013, so we do hope to get a slice of the action as we burrow down into our foxholes at Las Vegas early next month – January 8, to be exact.

Apart from the 5″ 1080p Full HD touchscreen display, the ZTE Grand S is said to be the slimmest 5-inch phablet ever, although we fully intend to put that to the test. Just how much slimmer can it be compared to its other rivals in the market like the Droid DNA, and in what adverse manner has battery life been affected in order to end up with a supermodel body? All will be revealed in due time, so stay tuned!
