Nike Launches Its Nike+ API Developer Site

Fitness buffs and health-conscious individuals will be happy to hear that Nike has just opened its Nike+ API developer site. Not only that developers can pry into the data generated by Nike’s FuelBands, but users are also given the resources that they need to combine their metrics and activity data. “Nike+ data helps athletes know more and do more. The Nike+ platform gives select partners access to the real activity data captured by the Nike+ FuelBand and Nike+ Running devices, used by millions of Nike+ users,” Nike said. Given the case, developers can also work on future apps and games for Nike+ users. Today’s announcement also coincides with the launch of Nike’s Nike+ Accelerator program, a plan to support companies that are planning to “use Nike+ technology to create products and services that will inspire athletes across a broad range of activity and health goals.”
