Archos of France has rolled out its fair share of Android-powered tablets and portable media players in the past, with the Archos Platinum tablet range being the most recent one – but smartphones? Well, word on the street has it that they are not too far away from Android smartphones, where French blogger Pierre Lecourt cites sources of his that Archos will be rolling out a trio of different smartphones in due time, where they will come in 3.5-inch, 4.8-inch, and 5.2-inch displays.

The Archos Carbon 35 is touted to be the smallest model with a modest 480 x 320 pixel display, a single core processor and a paltry 512MB RAM as well as an equal amount of storage. Needless to say, this is clearly a budget handset that ought to retail for approximately 90 Euros. As for the Archos 48 Platinum, this higher end handset sports a 4.8-inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, a quad-core 1.7GHz Mediatek MT6589 ARM Cortex-A7 processor and a 249 Euro price tag. Last but not least, the Archos 52 Titanium might feature the most generous display at 4.8-inches, but it has a relatively low pixel count at 800 x 480 pixels, alongside a dual-core 1.2GHz processor.
