iPhone 5S Rumored To Feature 12MP Camera

So we’ve heard the rumors that the iPhone 5S will feature an improved camera and possibly a fingerprint scanner. Given that Apple went the same route with the iPhone 4S by introducing a better camera than the iPhone 4, the camera portion of the rumor does sound likely, but exactly how good of a camera are we talking about? According to Vietnamese website, Tinhte, they claim that a Vietnamese manufacturer will be the on making the camera module for Apple and that it will sport a 12MP camera sensor, along with a f/2.4 aperture with a backside illuminated sensor for low-light photography.

The website goes on to claim that the camera will be able to process HDR photos on the hardware side, rather than relying on software to process it. We have to say that an improved camera is really nothing new or that surprising, but for those interested in the megapixels, this rumor claims 12MP and could be worth taking note of. Tinhte has a pretty solid reputation so far when it comes to getting their hands on official products before everyone else, so while this is a rumor that should be taken with a grain of salt, it could hold some weight.
