Google Street View Goes To Mt. Fuji This Time Around

street-view-mtfujiGoogle’s Street View has definitely had its fair share of triumphs this year alone, where we saw the Street View team made it possible for anyone with a decent Internet connection to check out the Burj Khalifa, the Eiffel Tower, and most recently, take a tour through the entire roads of Japan. Well, this time around, the Google Street View team has taken the Street View Trekker all the way up to 3,776 meters worth of Mt. Fuji in Japan, and all of their hard work and effort has resulted in a 360-degree panoramic imagery.

You can be sure that the Street View collection will be able to cover the highly popular Yoshida trail which hikers love to go up, where you can then take a virtual full walk around the crater at the top, followed by a rather zippy zigzag descent. There are over 14,000 panoramic shots of new imagery in this UNESCO World Heritage site, and you might want to lower down the temperature of the air conditioner if you want in order to have an idea on what kind of icy cold atmosphere Mt. Fuji offers in real life.
