Nokia Lumia 1020 Hits The Production Lines Already

1020-productionI am quite sure that you have read many takes on the Nokia Lumia 1020 already, with most of the media’s attention being focused on the massive 41-megapixel sensor that theoretically, should be able to snap some great looking photos, never mind if you are a budding amateur or a seasoned photographer. It is still an achievement by any means where smartphone cameras are concerned, and as AT&T has already begun to accept pre-orders for this smartphone in the US, you will be glad to know that the Nokia Lumia 1020 is currently being mass produced – so do not expect any delays in shipment at all.

The image above comes from Nokia’s head of sales and marketing, Chris Weber, who decided to take to his Twitter account and share with us a rather rare glimpse into the world of smartphone production. Weber said, “The Windows Phone 8 powered Nokia Lumia 1020 is currently scheduled to ship to AT&T customers in the US next week for the price of $299 with a two year contract. It’s also supposed to launch sometime this quarter in China. In the UK, Three has promised to offer the smartphone later this year, as will Telefónica, which will also offer a special 64GB variant under its O2 brand in the UK and Europe, along with Latin America under the Movistar and Vivo brands.” There you go, more Lumia 1020 details to digest for folks living across the pond.
