droid5-leakWhile the world’s eyes are squarely on what Apple is going to deliver this morning, I am quite sure that other pieces of hardware are more than worthy of making it to the front page, too. Take Motorola for example – the company might have been purchased by Google, but this does not mean that they have lost their own identity that they have carefully built up over the years. I remember the huge success of the RAZR, and nothing after that could really change peoples’ perception on what Motorola is all about, and their first DROID device (one of the early smartphones powered by Android, no less) was pretty solid in one’s hands, although the touchscreen was a pain to use in winter due to the fact that one always had to remove one’s gloves.

Well, it is rather nice to see then, the fifth iteration of the DROID series, as an alleged Motorola DROID 5 image has apparently leaked out alongside some specifications. In the leaked photos, it was depicted that the Motorola DROID 5 is seen next to the Motorola Photon Q, while sporting a 4.3” display alongside whispers of a 720p (342ppi) display. Apart from that, there is the mainstay slide-out QWERTY keyboard with 5 rows of buttons, a dual-core Snapdragon MSM8960 chipset processor, 1GB RAM, NFC and wireless charging capability, 16GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot.
