Assassin’s Creed Movie Delayed To August 2015

assassins-creed-movieMovies that are inspired by video games? Mortal Kombat did not fare too well on the silver screen, and recently, we have heard that Temple Run might actually be turned into a movie as well thanks to the folks over at Warner Bros. Well, it seems that Temple Run is not the only game to receive the movie treatment in the near future, as 20th Century Fox too, wants in on the action by adapting Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed and the Independence Day sequel. It will surely offer a far more solid backdrop for a story compared to Temple Run, but we have just received word that it will delay its silver screen debut. Instead of kicking off on June 19th, 2015 in the US, it has been pushed back to August 7th, a date that right now, remains unchallenged.

Will this particular title be a hit when it finally arrives? Who knows, as with Prometheus and X-Men star Michael Fassbender acting and co-producing the movie, it might on track for a stellar release. Basically, do you have much faith in movies that were spawned because of a video game inspiration? I mean, Doom did not do too well either, despite having the pulling power of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
