ps4-vita-bundle

Own a PlayStation Vita and a PlayStation 4? Then you’ll know just how awesome the PlayStation Vita’s remote play app works, allowing you to essentially take your console with you on the go as you can access it remotely. Unfortunately, Sony hasn’t announced a bundle that will offer both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, although they’ve admitted they’re reconsidering this idea. It looks like that reconsidering may have done Sony some good as MCV is reporting the company will release an “Ultimate Bundle” that includes both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita this holiday season.

“We’re really excited for Vita as we move into Christmas,” senior product manager Ben Law told MCV. “We’ve got a great campaign with key messaging around new releases like Tearaway, the ever-growing game catalogue and the Remote Play service.”

MCV reports Sony plans on running a £2.5m television campaign called “The Best Way to Play” which will highlight how the PlayStation Vita can be used with the PlayStation 4. Not only can players remotely control their PlayStation 4 with the Vita, but they can also use the handheld as a second screen, although if you have a smartphone or tablet and the PlayStation app, then you really wouldn’t need the Vita for this.
