Nokia Normandy Leaks In All Its Colorful Glory

 

It was back in the second week of November when we first heard about a number of devices that Nokia was reportedly working on. Code names of several devices were leaked, Nokia Normandy being one of them. It is believed that this might potentially be the company’s Android powered smartphone, though Nokia itself hasn’t confirmed or denied that as yet. Little is known about this device right now, apart from the fact that it bears a resemblance to the Lumia 520 but doesn’t carry a Windows Phone logo like all other Nokia WP devices. Its also missing a dedicated camera button, LED flash and the capacitive buttons.

The picture of the Nokia Normandy that you see posted above has been leaked by infamous Twitter personality @evleaks, who has a pretty solid track record when it comes to leaking information about upcoming products. @evleaks hasn’t confirmed as yet though if the Normandy is going to be an Android or a Windows Phone device, according to a previous rumor it might run an alternate version of Android, one that’s not connected to Google services. It remains to be seen if this device ever makes it to the market, particularly prior to the close of Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia’s devices and services division. One can’t think of a reason good enough to compel Microsoft into releasing an Android powered device.
