lg-g2-review-01Here is some news for those of you who happen to be toting the international version of the LG G2 – chances are, it will not be on the receiving end of the Android 4.4 KitKat update later this month. It was discovered in a new tweet by LG Mobile Saudi Arabia, where that Twitter feed saw an apology issued for rolling out the wrong information earlier in the day.

”We apologize for the previous wrong tweet regarding G2 Kit Kat upgrade schedule, the date was for upgrading the KnockOn feature to Lii series”, or so the particular tweet read. Instead of announcing Android 4.4 KitKat for the flagship LG G2 smartphone, LG Mobile Saudi Arabia did issue a statement that the popular Knock feature will be making its rounds to the second generation of L Series smartphones. Now, that bit of news is far from surprising, since LG did officially make such an announcement concerning the upcoming feature before 2013 came to an end, and we rolled right into 2014. I guess international LG G2 owners will need to exercise more patience before they get to enjoy some KitKat goodness on their smartphone. After all, is it not better to be late than never? At least all of the relevant kinks will be ironed out by then. [Twitter Feed]
