According to a recent piece in the New York Times about the founders of WhatsApp, they had an interesting quote which reads, “They would make the app usable on a broad range of smartphones, from dated BlackBerrys, which they both still use for texting, to sleek new Android phones and iPhones, so that people rich and poor all over the globe could take advantage of the service.” It’s interesting that the founders still keep BlackBerry devices on themselves when it comes to texting, especially when there are many other brands out there that they could have gone for, not to mention WhatsApp’s initial resistance to the BlackBerry 10 platform. What do you guys think? Do you agree that when it comes to texting that BlackBerry phones does it best?
