htc-one-mini-review-16While the whole world is more or less thrilled with the announcement of the HTC One 2014 (aka HTC M8) with us having already taken it out for a spin, one ought to take note that the HTC One 2014 is not the only thing that is happening today to a HTC branded device. In fact, HTC executive Mohammad Versi took to Twitter to reveal that AT&T in the US has already approved the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its version of the HTC One mini smartphone.

According to Versi, this will be an over the air update, where it will also throw in an upgrade to HTC Sense 5.5 to boot. Be patient, however, as this particular update ought to start rolling out before the end of this week arrives.

So far, industry watchers have touted in recent times that the HTC One mini will be updated to Android 4.4 KitKat very, very soon, and hence it is not a surprise at all to hear of such a tweet from someone in the higher echelons of HTC’s corporate hierarchy. At least this update is slated for a release later this month, which makes it earlier than the April timeframe that many people received from HTC. For those who have already received and installed the update, how do you find it?
