iPhone 5s Price Slashed By Walmart

iphone-5s-review-007There have been rumors concerning the next generation iPhone that has been going around, and even a concept video that depicted the iPhone Air shown, which can only mean one thing – that a new iPhone is definitely in the pipeline, although the exact date of its release remains to be seen or determined. After all, Apple has always done pretty well in the past to hold their cards close to their chest, but with word that the iPhone 5s’ price has been slashed by at least two retailers, it does seem as though an upcoming iPhone model is imminent.

CNN Money did report that the 16GB iPhone 5s is currently on sale for $119 a pop at Walmart, which happens to be $80 more affordable compared to a similar 16GB iPhone 5s that is picked up from an Apple Store or via Apple’s website. Of course, it will take into consideration that customers have agreed to a two-year contract with either Verizon Wireless or AT&T.

Apart from Walmart, Best Buy, too, has slashed its prices on its existing iPhone 5s stock, but the drop is not as significant as Walmart’s discount. Apparently, the 16GB iPhone 5s would cost $149.99 a pop – with a new contract too, of course.

Earlier today, we did talk about an analyst’s views that the iPhone 6 could end up being $100 more expensive than what the iPhone 5s cost when it was first released, which is definitely not good news at all if it were to turn out to be true.
