2K Games released NBA 2K14 in October last year. For Android at the time this title was exclusively released on the Kindle Fire. NBA 2K14 has remained exclusive to Amazon’s tablet for nearly six months. Today the exclusivity period finally ends. NBA 2K14 for Android is now available for download through the Google Play Store for all supported devices.

NBA 2K14 is undoubtedly one of the biggest NBA games of the year, and Android users waiting for it would definitely be thrilled about finally being able to purchase it. Similar to its Kindle Fire counterpart, the title is priced at $7.99 on the Google Play Store. However, the download is larger, on Amazon its listed as a 780MB download whereas on Google Play Store its 1.1GB.

Though once its purchased and downloaded on the device, one simply can’t get down to the business of playing. Additional resources have to be downloaded when the game is launched for the very first time, they weigh nearly 1GB.

Recently the iOS version of NBA 2K14 was updated and it brought support for game controllers. Apple added support for controllers in iOS 7. However, so far the Android version don’t support controllers, maybe it will somewhere down the line. NBA 2K14 for Android is now live on the Google Play Store.
